About the role

A Greater Manchester service operation is seeking an Operations Service Manager for a 12-month fixed-term contract. The role covers day-to-day service performance, team coordination, workflow control, escalation management, and operational reporting.

The successful candidate will bring calm judgement, strong process discipline, and the ability to improve service rhythm without creating unnecessary complexity.

Core responsibilities

You will manage operational performance, own workflow and service metrics, lead administrators and coordinators, improve reporting routines, and attend weekly performance reviews with the senior operations lead.

Requirements

  • Service management or operations management experience
  • Strong workflow, performance, and escalation management skills
  • Experience leading administrative or back-office teams
  • Comfortable with reporting, process improvement, and service quality controls
  • Right-to-work and employment checks completed before start
