A fintech scale-up in London is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to lead the build-out of their real-time analytics platform. The team is small, the stack is modern, and the engineering decisions are yours to make.
You will work directly with the Head of Technology and two mid-level engineers. No bureaucracy. Fast delivery cycles.
The environment
This is a contract engagement outside IR35. The client prefers candidates who can demonstrate ownership of a production data pipeline end to end - not just contributions to one.
Requirements
- 5+ years in data engineering roles
- Strong Python (PySpark or dbt preferred)
- Experience with Kafka or a comparable streaming platform
- AWS or GCP certified, or demonstrable production experience
- Stakeholder communication without a PM in the room
